About the tour

On this three-hour Warsaw Foodie Tour, you will visit six top-rated food spots to taste iconic Polish staples, including Sour Rye Soup, three types of Pierogi, Gołąbki (stuffed cabbage rolls), Potato Pancakes, and mouth-watering Pączki (traditional doughnuts). Your journey also includes rye bread with lard and pickled cucumbers, Poland’s most famous chocolate snack, two distinct vodkas, and Kompot, a traditional fruit drink. With 12 total tastings, this experience equates to a full three-course meal. Come hungry and definitely don’t plan for dinner afterward!

Between stops, I’ll share stories about the city’s past and present, offering a deeper, more authentic understanding of Warsaw and Poland that goes well beyond its culinary scene. You’ll also receive an interactive map of must-visit spots to help you navigate the city with confidence after the tour.

Itinerary

1. Plac Centralny
We start at Plac Centralny, in the very center of the city, and kick off on a strong note with a shot of flavored vodka Wódka Żołądkowa Gorzka, to have a fun start of the tour and work up an appetite for all the delicious dishes that come later. You will also get a brief overview of the major landmarks of the city, and places to visit when in Warsaw.
2. Bracki Bar Mleczny
In this top rated Milk Bar, we will try three different types of pierogi - ruthenian, with sauerkraut and mushrooms, lazy dumplings, and sip kompot - fruit drink that’s being served in virtually every milk bar in the country.
3. Specjały Regionalne
In this charming and delicious, old Warsaw vibe restaurant, we will try three different dishes that are amongst the most popular, and characteristic for Polish cuisine - sour rye soup Żurek, pork cutlet Schabowy, and cabbage rolls Gołąbki.
4. NORKA by Hopster
A quick stop to keep your energy levels high! We’ll enjoy a shot of pure vodka paired with Polish classics: delicious rye bread with lard and pickled cucumbers.
5. Pijalnia Czekolady Wedla
In this beautiful pre-war flagship store of the most beloved polish chocolate brand E.Wedel you will hear a fascinating story of 3 generations of Polish-German chocolate makers, and taste famous Ptasie Mleczko.
6. Cukiernia Pawłowicz
At this hole in the wall bakery, we will try the most delicious, freshly made Polish doughnuts called Pączki to finish off the tour on a sweet note. You will also learn about one of the most fun celebrations in Poland called Tłusty Czwartek (ang. Fat Thursday) when we collectively eat 100 million doughnuts in just one day.
